Chef Karl is a classical European Chef. He went through the traditional Escoffier apprenticeship and has worked in Hong Kong, Canada and the U.S.A. 

Karl was the executive chef at the Hyatt Dearborn, Michigan, Sheraton Waikiki, Hawaii, ILIKAI Hotel, Hawaii, just to name a few. Karl has been the chef of Swiss House Restaurant for the past 23 years.

Wednesday through Sunday you will find Chef Karl cooking behind the stove. His meals are always excellent! He always makes his soup from scratch and he even makes his own desserts. Don't forget to check our menu while you are here. We welcome take-out orders!

Swiss House is also available for banquets and large parties. Think of Swiss House for Wedding Parties, Holiday Dinners, Business Dinners etc. We will even host luncheons on request!

Karl is lovingly joined by his wife, Lily Pai Resch, daily at the restaurant. Lily graduated from Michigan State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Hotel, Restaurant and Institutional Management. Lily often greets customers and handles the administration of the business. Call Lily today to make a dinner reservation (or use our on-line reservation form), order some of our specialty products or take-out orders, or just say "Hi" (she has a lot of friends!).

Karl was born in Zurich, Switzerland and Lily was born in Bejing, China (but was raised in Taiwan). Enjoy the Swiss House Swiss German Quisine.
